Who it was for · what it did

Refreshed an approved safety message through clear character direction, visual development and a polished final film.

Case study

GoSafe began with a simple production question: how do you make digital protection feel human? Rather than visualize danger as something cold or technical, we built a warm coastal world and a cast audiences could quickly care about.

Our role was to shape the visual treatment and carry it through character development, environments, shot design, motion, compositing, edit, sound and finishing. The approved message stayed intact while the production language became richer, more cinematic and more emotionally immediate.

The challenge

The task was not to invent a new campaign idea. It was to refresh the existing film through execution: preserve the approved message, then create a visual world capable of holding it. The threats still needed to read instantly, but the film could not feel alarmist. The people, homes and shared places had to feel worth protecting before the guardians stepped in.

The approach

We developed Ico, Jay and Aie as distinct guardians rather than interchangeable heroes. Their silhouettes, expressions and poses were refined so each one carried a different energy: alert, agile or protective. Character sheets helped us test proportions, wardrobe, facial expression and repeatable poses before those choices moved into the film.

The locations were treated as part of the cast. We shaped the town, market, shoreline, homes and gathering places through color, texture, depth and warm light. Empty location studies helped us solve architecture and geography. Populated versions showed whether the world still felt coherent once characters and activity were added.

The treatment centered on one emotional shift: first care about the characters and their world, then understand why protection matters. Warmth came first. The threat entered as a disruption. When the guardians moved, the film gained pace and energy without abandoning the softness of the world around them.

The execution

Each shot was planned like a shoot: who is in the frame, what the emotional beat is, where the viewer is placed, how the light behaves, what sits in the foreground and background, and how the image connects to the sequence. We refined each direction through successive generations, selecting and correcting details until character, environment, composition and continuity worked together.

GenAI was part of the directing process, not a substitute for direction.

We defined a movement language for the guardians so every action felt motivated and readable. A quiet patrol establishes the world. A moment of sensing creates tension. A decisive block protects the customer. A brief look back reconnects the action to the person being protected.

Once the selected frames were approved, the work moved into motion and post. Character actions were animated to preserve weight, eye-lines and emotion. Transitions were designed around direction, color and screen geography. The guardian-to-employee transformation required careful alignment so the final reveal felt like one continuous thought.

Compositing, edit, sound and finishing then brought the individual decisions into one coherent film across horizontal and vertical formats.

The result

The finished piece keeps the GoSafe message clear while giving it a world with warmth, character and depth. It also shows the value of deliberate production craft in a GenAI-assisted workflow. Every image was evaluated, refined and connected to a larger visual system. Every movement served an emotional beat. Every finish supported continuity.

The tools helped make the images possible. The result came from many professional choices, made intentionally, frame by frame.
